Jake Plowden

Jake Plowden is the deputy director and co-founder of The Cannabis Cultural Association. He began his advocacy with Students for Sensible Drug Policy while at Baruch College. 

 

He co-founded the CCA back in late 2015 in response to the lack of equity and inclusion in the growing cannabis industry  

 

CCA curates and organizes events surrounding cannabis education, entrepreneurship, expungement, advocacy/activism, and the history of the War On Drugs’ effects on black and brown communities. 

 

Jake is also the producer and co-host of the podcast “In The Know 420” with Joseph Bondy.

 

 Jake and the CCA were one of five plaintiffs suing back in 2017 Attorney General Jeff Sessions and The Drug Enforcement Agency. alongside Alexis Bortell, Marvin Washington, Jose Belen, and Jagger Cote for the removal of cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act.
